I have been exempted from English Proficiency Test (EPT) as I was graduated from the UK. But to proceed with my course which is IRK I have to sit for Arabic Proficiency Test (APT) as well. The band requirement is quite high which is Band 7.
The APT is divided into two part: APT Core and APT Skill. Whoever fail in APT Core have to register with Language Quranic Course straight away. And just after they pass the APT Core they then can proceed to APT Skill test. If they fail again in APT Skill, they once again have to register in LQC Skills, depend on which skill they fail at, speaking, listening, writing and reading.
As for me, alhamdulillah, I passed the APT Core but unfortunately not the APT Skills in writing and speaking. I got only band 6.5 in both skills. When I saw my result in the IIUM website, I was so sad and down but I wasn't depressed. Alhamdulillah I accepted it as it is my fate and there will be some hikmah behind it.
Hopefully I can improve my writing and speaking skills in Arabic language. So that I can futher and finish my master soon smoothly.
Oh yeah, I nearly forgot to tell you...When I am taking this LQC, I am not allowed to take any of my kulliyyah subjects. Which means, I have to postponed my master till next sem..huhuhu..
A bit sad about that since I am a self sponsored student, well not by myself but by PAMA. So I was hoping I could finish early and they wouldnot spend too much.
Sorry abah and ummi, I disappointed you but I will do my very best next time!!!
