It was unintentionally. I just signed the form to join the workshop, merely because qiyamullail session. But instead of participated in qiyam, I had to join all sessions for two days and one night.
The first program was under the Counseling division. We were divided into groups, and it was arranged by luck. We were given a clue, and have to find our group's member mutely with only hand gesture. As for me, I got BBFB, so with the hand gesture backx2 front and back, I found two group's member, and they were all brothers. We were told that each group would have minimum 6 or 7 members. So we had to find more...and it turned out I was the only sister in a group of 10. Just think how nervous I was! In a group full of strangers, and in a program that I wasn't intentionally participated!
After that, we had to choose a leader or a president and name the group or country. Easily, a brother suggested me as a president, just because I was the only sister! How could I resist them, when majority agreed?? Just my character, to accept what has been given...
Every other group and the facilitators were shocked with our choice, the only female president in the hall!
Alhamdulillah, thanks to Sr. Kalthum, I was given another female member to accompany me..
I was hoping that we wouldn't meet again in next grouping session!
After sessions of speeches and talks, here came the Project Discussion, conducted by Ass0c. Prof. Dr. Rahmah. And we were told to sit in the existed group!
Oklah, just accept the fate Zawani!!!
We were given the 10th project, to come up with a proposal to upgrade social networking for the benefit of the Ummah. We had chances to discuss until the next day for presentation.
Here, my role as a president had to be played. I conducted the discussion but it turned out to be a very looooong discussion. I was happy that everybody had ideas but they just wouldn't tolerate with others. What would you do, if you were in my shoes?
Alhamdulillah, thanks to a brother that went out to ask Dr. Rahmah. To upgrade Facebook for benefit of the Ummah!
Tasks were given to each person. They had to come up with idea about each task given (forgot to mention 'written') by tomorrow morning. Guess what happened?
Just two of them gave their ideas, well not written properly...I got headache early in the morning! Ok..I gave them another chance until next slot. And again...and again...
A brother told me: "A good management leader doesn't do any job, but instead he gives order". As for me, he said: I was a good leader, but not a good manager. So I need to change my characteristic.
In the end, it was me and another sister to do the slides and came up with the ideas. Allah helped us! In our last discussion, I showed them the slides, and they agreed with the ideas, except there were some grammatical error and needed some addition. Thanks to the brothers that help us!
We then chose a presenter out of us...We agreed upon Bro. Suraj. But then, just after the presentation session began, Two brothers called us and asked either me or the other sister to present..what??!!
Allahumma yassir umurii!!
Alhamdulillah, the presentation went well, and I got lot of compliments from brothers. However, our uncheerful slides and not-so-cooperated team work reduced the mark, so we got 5th place out of 10th. Oklah...
Thanks to Dr Rahmah for making me realize about my capability. Thanks to all honorable speaker that had spent their precious time just for us..especially Prof. Rashid Morten, Assc. Prof. Abdul Kabir, Prof. Sidek Abbas, and many more..I love you all!
PMLS best!
