Eunjae aka Y.E.S.T.E.R.D.A.Y

Let's gone be bygone~

Yesterday is a history~

So many things happened yesterday. Since yesterday was Eid-Al-Adha, me and family went back to Besut 30 minutes after Eid prayer as usuall. However, it had been a couple of Eid already, we did not go to Tok's house but Abah's sister's house. It happened. Tok rented her house to a family and she stayed with Mak Ku.

Ayah Mud and Cik Ani had already arrived but theye were not there when we arrived. They went to mosque to see the 'slaughtering'. So we waited while Abah went fetching up our relatives to the house. Mak Ku had cooked some meals, in a very big portion. I was thinking - Do they have some feast today?

We were still waiting. We watched tv. We ate for couple of times. We talked. Many things had we done while waiting for meats to come back. Why does it take such a long time?? I was wandering.

It was Zuhur already, so we prayed. We did Jama' and Qasar. Still, the meats were arrived yet. Do they get lost?

All praises to Allah, meats were here. They arrived safe and sound. Women were busied cutting the meats and bones. Girls were chatting with each other and gigling. Men were drinking, smoking (the most hate part!), talking and discussing. Boys? Erm, I don't have many male gender in my relatives. Most of them are girls. Well, the only boys that happened to be there yesterday were watching tv and some went out playing.Hehehe...

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

Everybody was getting hungry. Every types of food had we eaten. Mee goreng. Laksa. Nasi himpit, but not yet rice.

Ayah Mud suddenly arrived with a car full of my relatives. I 100% sure that we have some feast today. I was thinking again. But then, Abah called for gathering.

What is happening? What is going on? Those questions kept wandering in my mind looking for answers.

Then umi answered as she knew what was going on in my mind. They were going to divide the wealth that had been left by Tok. Suddenly missed Tok. I just could not believe that she had already gone. I missed seeing her laying down in her room while talking to us. We liked to annoy her.

Her mother aka My Nyang is still alive. What a long live she has. She always refers to Tok as her mother because Tok was lot bigger than her. "Mok tak dok doh", that was what she always said.

They seemed to have done gathering. I could money in their pockets. Hehehe~ $_$

Then, time to eat! I couldn't wait to taste the soup. The main dish of the day. However, it was disappointed. I don't want to say much so I better keep it to myself.

It was Asar and we still talked. Why do they have so many thinks to talk about?? *Sigh.. I wanted to go home.

I did not have anything to do so I decided to do the dishes. So many. Ahhh! back ache! Appo...but I did not suffer for a long time. Umi saved me. Why? I saw Umi took wudhu' just now? Does she want to pray Asar? and calls me to pray? But didn't we prayed Jama' already? I certainly had done so many thinking yesterday.

O0oo..it was tahlil. I sat and read Yasin for Tok. After this Abah must have asked Fadhil to read the du'a, mustn't he? Well, this is family gathering and he must have want to show his son-in-law off. Why not? He is an ustaz from Yaman..Hehehe.. I was thinking again while reading the yasin.

I was wrong. Abah turned back and said the most annoying word for that particular time 'Kakak'. I knew the sign. So I said "Why me?", well not that loud. Perhaps just in volume one. Then, I obeyedly read the du'a. May Allah blesses Tok and places her with al-Muttaqiin.

After reading Yasin, they talked again. *Sigh. Then Abah said that it was time to go. What a big relief. It was not that I was not happy to be with them. It was because I was uncomfortable. They day was hot. The house was warm. I was sweating a lot. Then, you know what happened.

However, we did not go straight back home. Abah was his way to Kelantan. The road sign showed 'To Pasir Puteh'. Are we going to Makdik's house? I was asking myself. Silly me.

No we weren't. It was a relative. Tok's cousin. I haven't met them before. But Abah had. Long long time ago. We lost before we got to their house. To the graveyard. Abah told that uncle. He then made a joke. "Ghama sedare situ", we laughed. The family were so friendly. Like it.

There, we ate again. Meats. And the most frequently happen part, we talked.

We performed Maghrib and Isya' all together before we departed. After that, we talked again. In closing sound. Like 'slow-slowlaa'...hehehe..

Alhamdulillah. At last. Home. Off we went!

I were sleeping in whole journey. Tired maybe. Plus, eating so many meats. That is normal on Eid-Al-Adha.

Consequencely, I get back my dizziness.

P/S: Meats were the hero of yesterday event.
